We recently had a hail storm. I called my agent at the insurance company and within hours a rep from West Bend called with a claim number. I was told an adjuster would call before coming to inspect, which he did within a day or so. He arrived on time and was very pleasant. The adjuster actually found some hail damage in an area we had not even considered. A few days later he called us with his report and a settlement amount. We were very satisfied. We received a check for the amount promised and it was sufficient to take care of repairs. Good job, West Bend. P.S. We had previously had Westfield insurance for 15 years with no claims. We dropped them when our lake house had some flood damage and they refused three times to help us out even though neighbors with the same type of damage received some "goodwill" compensation even though they had no flood coverage simply because they were good, long tenured customers with little to no claims.... just like we were.
