This organization is a joke. It is motivated by its own self-interests protecting the hands that feed them. They have the audacity to write this statement on their website.

My experience as a seller has been far from this statement. I hired David Stein with Re/Max All Pro located in Bloomingdale in April 2018. After receiving an offer that was plagued with numerous concerns I decided to end the listing because I did not want the legal risk with someone who was either inexperienced or not qualified. Mr. Stein declined two offers without showing them to me, he left the key to the house outside despite my request to return it to the agency for safekeeping, and there was a significant amount of vandalism done from inside the home. This is evidenced by a window broken from the inside of the house due the amount of glass shattered inside the window well.

I was so disgusted that I filed formal grievance complaints with the State of Illinois and the Mainstreet Board. After 3 months of no action from the Mainstreet Board, I contacted them and was told they could not move forward until the disposition of my complaint was resolved with the State of Illinois. I was told by the State their investigation was completed and awaiting committee review. However the state stressed the outcome of this had absolutely no bearing on the Mainstreet grievance.

I then called out the Board and oddly within a day they contacted the realtor involved who stated the State had concluded the matter so now the Board was ready to conduct a hearing. The State has not concluded the matter and thus, it was clear to me if the Board was involving the agent who committed these acts and lying that any hearing would be nothing more than a sham and a mockery to me and my family home.
There were (4) subsequent agents after Re/Max All Pro of which the second one I did not hire. With the third agent, Lisa Allegra, it was clear I was being retaliated against for filing these formal complaints in any effort to cause me financial harm. Some of the things I experienced were theft, one day codes issued to people not properly vetted, the condition of the house grossly mispresented by leaving out words like being sold AS IS and refusing to take interior photos, comps manipulated to justify low ball offers, earnest money not deposited within 24 hours after receipt, blurry pictures taken of the exterior and posted to the MLS, realtors sharing offers with other agents, realtors sharing confidential information with other agents, yard for sale signs not installed, showings intentionally being denied as a few.

Many of these are serious violations of professional conduct or IL administrative code and the Mainstreet Board found no violations of such despite supporting documentation.
