West Virginia passed a law making Atvs and Utvs street legal (WV Senate Bill 690) and labeling them as SPVs or Special Purpose Vehicles given they meet all the safety requirements of the West Virginia State inspection, are registered with state DMV and Insured. Princeton Police Dept along with City Council is using a ordinance that was retrofitted in 2003 applying to atvs and using the same ban for Special Purpose Vehicles and banning them from the roadways within the city of Princeton! This message is to encourage visitors to not spend money in Princeton and inform Visitors that come to enjoy our Trial systems that the City Of Princeton West Virginia does not want you to enjoy your Side by Sides or atvs within the city even if they are street legal as you spend your money.
