We did a tour of the high school with Ranger Randy, and wow were we impressed. He did an excellent job of laying out the historical context and assisting us all in imagining ourselves inside the story to think about the impact of what happened here. Taking that walk along the street, remembering the history, walking up those steps and through those doors was powerful! Little Rock Central is an important historical site, and I am very thankful that the National Park Service is able to teach this history while co-existing with the still operational high school.
