Had an awful experience with this location and their broker. Their agent was incredibly inexperienced and this ended up costing me over $3k. The way this office handled this situation after calling them for help was, in my opinion, very unprofessional.

I was a tenant looking to rent a home and the landlord hired Keller Williams Memorial to assist with the lease. The agent wrote up the lease so my security deposit would be the equivalent of 2 months rent. In an email their agent broke down the security deposit to be written in two checks. One would be applied towards my last months rent and the other would be noted as a security deposit, to be made out to Keller WIlliams. This was all in writing from the agent.

A security deposit is supposed to be returned at the end of the lease but in this case when my lease was up, I was informed this money would not be returned. In reviewing with the broker at this location he was cooperative at first. He acknowledged that the agent had made a mistake and my security deposit was applied towards the commission on the rental, something the landlord should have paid. He acknowledged the agent messed up and when I pointed out I shouldn't have to pay over $3k for a mistake his agent made he became less cooperative. He used some strange example about if a store mismarks a price on an item, the store isn't going to give you the item at that price because they made a mistake. Actually, it's been my experience that most stores would give you the item at the price marked so it was unclear how that was relevant to my situation. The broker eventually told me that any further conversations would have to be with their lawyer.

This was weeks ago and I've heard nothing from anyone at Keller Williams Memorial since.

After this experience I would never trust working with anyone at Keller Williams again. This was just a lease on a rental and they couldn't get that right. Can't even imagine trusting them to buy a home.
