My mom is 93 years old and she fell down Saturday ...

My mom is 93 years old and she fell down Saturday morning at 6:30. We called the fire department, they came out. My mom's foot was wedged under a dresser and her head under the bed. The lifted her up, dressed a rug burn on her elbow, told our care giver and sister that she was alright. I got there at 8 am and could tell mom was not all right. I called the fire depart again and the came out and this crew agreed that she was not alright. She had had a stroke that cause her to fall. They took her to Hoag Hospital where they concurred that she has suffered a stroke. We were told that the first 6 hours after a stroke are the most important and the fire department blew it on the first call. I tried to call the department today to make them aware what happened. They kept transferring me to different departs and finally the clerks office said I had to make a written statement and I got frustrated with them and hung up and decided to vent here. In case someone of authority is reading this the case calls were #1 71652 and #2 71763. The 2nd crew was great.
