This is a hidden gem. Just of the main road of the A811 to Stirling, you will be rewarded handsomely if you divert into the burgh of Gargunnock and find yourself at the village inn. A charming and cosy venue invites you in to relax and enjoy yourself. A genuine and warm welcome awaits you as you settle down for a truly amazing meal. The menu captivates you from the start as you ponder which delight takes your fancy. If you have a dining partner to share with, then this makes choices a little easier, as narrowing down your decision can prove difficult with such tempting fayre. Just when you think you have settled on a favoured dish, you will notice the specials of the day and find yourself reconsidering with even more of a dilemma. Already you know, that you will need to come back and visit again even though a morsel of food has yet to pass your lips.
Nothing disappoints, the service you receive is attentive and efficient as drinks are soon in hand whilst awaiting your meal to arrive. You can hear the bustle and catch fleeting glimpses of the kitchen staff through the open hatch, as they go about their work bringing together your order
Finally, service, along with a smile, presents you with food, even more tempting than what was imagined. A starter that surpasses and leads to an even greater expectation of the main, which silly arrives and knocks your socks off.
It's always great to explore, especially when you uncover little gems like this place. See you again soon Gargunnock inn, we love you!
