Arrived at 2 AM to find that they overbooked my room, even though I had a confirmed reservation. Luckily, Larry at the front desk was friendly and tried to get it sorted out, putting me in a room that was reserved for someone else, but was empty at the time.

Apparently, paying for a room doesn't guarantee you one. Huh, I thought this was a hotel, not a lottery.
