Zam Review of Four Points by Sheraton Downto...
Service and dining staff: 5*
Service and dining staff: 5*
Rooms: 5*
Breakfast: worth it.
Rooftop: great views, but service and staff much poorer. I think it's independent of the hotel though.
Price: under $100
Toiletries and things: abundant (robes, slippers, etc)
Under-highlighted features:
- amazing balconies
- choice of views (Sheikh Zayed Road or sea-facing)
- near to La Mer beach and Dubai Mall
Could easily be a 5 star overall if the check in process was a little more transparent. In my particular case, I was given a low floor despite asking for a high floor. Was told it was unavailable and then overheard the person next to me get the same room 8 floors higher. The only reason I even wanted a higher floor was to avoid street noise from sheikh Zayed Road. Eventually I accepted a room which was higher and facing away from the road and facing the sea and it was still a low floor but I thought at least it would be quieter. Unfortunately, it was now facing a construction site and I was then woken by even more noise lol. If check in were aware of these issues and were able to book people accordingly, it would easily be a 5* hotel. I would consider staycationing again and definitely look forward to returning for the rooftop views.
This isn't a critique as much as a sincere hope that the room noise level awareness is incorporated into the front desk training.
