We went to Dreams in Cancun last year, and we love...

We went to Dreams in Cancun last year, and we loved it...so we chose Secret....but what a mistake. The standards are not consistent at all.
A few reasons I don t like this Secret resort...
1. They tried to sell me some future package, that I wasn t interested. So after 90 minutes presentation, I told them I was not interested. They sent this tall guy name Anthony who gave us numbers and had us sign that we don t want it...then he looked at me & said I forgave you for being rude-you we re on your phone when I told you the numbers. ( unbelievably isn t it)
2. I called for laundry to be done...first time no one came I called back they said I didn t sign it...okay...I signed & called 4 more times no one came...I had to bring to the front desk to get them
Picked up.
3.Poolside service was absolutely slow and horrible. Angel on the pool side was nice...other than him...most servers don t react to tips that much. ( maybe further guests don t need to tip. No difference in their behavior)
4. Cancun most servers can communicate at basic level in English ...here not so much.
5. WiFi disconnect when you walk to different part of the resort. Even when you connect to WiFi it is kinda weak. They also cut off the WiFi in our room the night before we were leaving.
6. Room service- ordered red wine, the guy forgot about it...came back with white wine...I would have to say at least he didn t have an attitude ( isn t that sad ? That is our standards here)
7. I don t know if this is just our visit or in general. This resort seems to be for elders not adults. Most people here are retired people. Nothing wrong with this...I just wished I knew

I can t believe this is the same chain as Dreams in Cancun...why would anyone buy membership? So they can be shocked by lower standard of services...
