Most of my life I have been coming to Smith Family Books. I'm forever amazed at the quantity, the organization, the knowledge of the staff. Currently, they are under construction downtown, so there are beautiful towers of books looming about the place. What's in there? Treasures. I love finding brand new books alongside antique volumes. Selling books (Monday, Wednesday, Friday until 5 pm) was an easy process, and I only had to wait 10 minutes or so while the gal before me had her old milk crates of mixed books expertly shuffled through for an end result of some solid cash for the chosen ones. We sold kids books. It went very well for us! Now we can buy more. I was eyeing the display of northwest, outdoors and history themed books by the stairs. I'll be back after my birthday for my picks.
