In 2015 I went to this hospital as in-patient in their behavioral health division. I was going through a temporary crisis, triggered by a sudden addiction to cigarettes - and the depression that came from the obsession of such.
I told them I wanted to be Luvox, and they put me on it, and it didn't help. I came back and they performed electroshock therapy but I knew that won't help - I was trying to buy more time because I didn't feel well enough to go back home, and that surgery takes a week or two to perform.
Anyways, they never really treated me and I still needed to see someone, so I had to go to Milwaukee County Behavioral Health and they did the right thing by prescribing me Wellbutrin for the time being.
So why do I rate this place four-stars? Well, when the issue subsided I was left with a medication, Wellbutrin, that triggers manic episodes for me. Last time I was there - Nov 2015 - they took me off of Wellbutrin and I have felt much better since.
The real reason why I don't give this place five-stars isn't because of the doctors, or my stay there, but because they lack options for outpatient behavioral help. Granted, I live closer to the CSM at North and Lake Drive, but this faculty seems to be pretty small and lacks the resources for long-term care.
This was the last place I came to for inpatient behavior health. It's been two and a half years since my last visit, and I'm doing much better for myself. In part because of the wonderful nurses and doctors that treated me.
