BEWARE OF ICU NURSE SHIRLEY. I ve went back and forth about calling personally or posting publicly. The public should know. From what I ve seen and heard most of the ICU nurses/other staff are very nice and helpful. Did a lot of favors for my family during a hard time. The one exception is a nurse by the name of Shirley in ICU (taller women with blonde hair) unfortunately I have recently learned how she treated my mother. There were eye witnesses as she was rude, sarcastic, snappy, and rough with my mother. Shirley pushed down harder when my mother said it was already to hard. Shirley also made my mother remove her wedding rings the day her husband (my father) passed, just right across the hall from her. My mother had been in the hospital 3 days before this incident and funny how no mention of her hands maybe swelling came up by any other nurse any other day. It s my belief Shirley did this purposely to spite my mother. I was witness to my mother telling these things to another nurse and that nurse s reply was she s been known to by rough with patients .It is absolutely disgraceful and disgusting to think this has happened and to think what else has happened to other families or patients because of this nurse. This incident had to be investigated immediately. This is completely unacceptable behavior.
