We had a home built by Holmes Homes 12 years ago. Overall we are happy with the home however recently we started doing renovations and found some serious quality issues. While replacing lighting fixtures sevaral where put in place without an electrical jbox, just a wire poking through a hole. We have had issues with nail pops for years while repairing them and replacing trim it became apparant that the contractor struggled with building a plum and straight wall. The masonry on the front of the house was not properly bonded to the house and just falls off when touched. There are several examples of where the builders took short cuts during the process including forgetting nailer plates. I had to fix a water leak after pulling off a piece of trim and the nail had pierced the water line. Fortunately it did not leak until I pulled the nail out. Buyer beware!
