My child had an ankle bracelet placed by the staff...

My child had an ankle bracelet placed by the staff (not mentioned on the website anywhere), not allowed to keep a small stuffed animal or blanket from home for comfort/familiarity, and not allowed visitation by parents due to COVID despite CDC guidelines which outline how to ensure patients are not isolated from parents. Copies of consent forms/documents were not provided so we could refer back to what was signed later. No copy of the list of patient belongs was given. The first night admitted, bed bugs were crawling on my child after being placed in a bed infested with them. My child was then given a mattress to sleep on the ground in a conference room. When my child informed me of what happened, the Nursing supervisor said that it was no big deal, we followed our policies and procedures and it was one bug , which was later contradicted by the Nurse Manager to indicate the room was infested. Was later told by my child that male and female patients share common space, and are not kept separate. By day four of admission no physician, provider, or therapist had spoke with me about the plan of care for my child. Medication changes were made without discussing it with parents. The weekend nurse practitioner couldn t communicate what the plan of care was because she wasn t the provider to see my daughter, but would have someone call me on Monday (day 5 of admission). Horrible. Would never admit my child here again.
