My father has had multiple TIAs in the course of this past year. This last time, I took him to the hospital and mentioned that his carotid arteries are more than likely the cause for his symptoms. I was ignored. They kept insisting it was dehydration and being that I am a nursing student - I looked at them and insisted they tested his carotid arteries. Only on the 3rd day in did they listen to find that in fact my Dad needs surgery. Instead of treating my father like a human and compassion as well as integrity, they kept him waiting, were negligent, and he had been in pain after his IV needle had come out and he had been bleeding. My Dad had buzzed for help and when we got to the hospital 5 hours later still no help or changing the wound. I was livid and asked to speak to the nurse manager who told us there were more important patients that needed care. I was livid. The hospital itself is dirty, I have photos I plan on sending to the state as a case for biohazard infractions.

The staff for the most part has no bedside manner, patients are seen as dollar signs, and they treat people with no integrity. They ended up releasing my Dad - yet again with no surgery. It is as though they are sentencing my father to death. This hospital is a disgrace, mismanaged, and the staff lacks the empathy, competence, and overall respect for human life.

Disgusting That they affiliate themselves as a Catholic hospital but cannot hold up to the Catholic ideology of treating people with human decency and integrity. People literally come here to die.
