Update December 2020.
As if the curator has read my review, finally an exhibition of art that you could call beautiful. Even the title of the exhibition is about the beauty of art. Nice, colorful paintings, unfortunately too many fairly boring portraits. Keep it up on the way back up.

I don't easily give 1 star, but De Hallen deserves it. What a pretentious museum that is really nothing. The curator should really consult himself. On the top floor you can enjoy a few stacked standard boxes and a video that is little more than a few Powerpoint slides with text. On the first floor some trivial pictures that also pretend to be everything but have zero artistic value. There was still some work on the ground floor that tries to be beautiful. But overall this is mainly a place for art snobs. Tastes differ, but here the curator really has pretensions that are totally unfulfilled. In addition, the lady at the checkout was unnecessarily very unkind to the customers before us. Fat bet.
