The lack of consideration of the insurance department is unbelievable! I called them a few hours before my appointment to find out they didn't even have insurance approval for the procedure, it was in "pending " status! You see, this is typical of doctors offices not realizing that others have important jobs too. I had to have approval for the time off while others were denied because I would be gone , yet others were scheduled to work in my place. I also had to be pre approved for light duty the following week. If I had not been proactive in calling them I would have lost time off work, as well as my husband's time off work for driving me. My insurance denied the procedure because it was too new. Why wasn't I told this at least the day before instead of my having to call the day of???
