I had a sad experience for the first time visiting this church. My family and i moved to this area few years ago and were looking for a Methodist Church near us. This church was the closest to us. My first Sunday here was very unwelcoming. To me and my husband it wasn't an issue because our purpose of going to church was

is to serve God and not espect anything from a human. But what breaks my heart is when we went home that day and our 9 years old told me in his own words " mommy can you believe that the whole time i was in the kids classroom no one talked to me?" he continues " enven when i try to interact, no one still talked to me. I want to go back to my old church. " He couldn't understand why both the kids and the teacher were unfriendly and unwelcoming to him. From my personal view point, i noticed that this church is not a multiracial place to be. If you are of color, it's not a place for you. My husband and i are bringing up our 3 children in a friendly way. Our 9 &6 years old know that color doesn't matter. We are all humans and should be friendly with one another.
