I had a failed back surgery 15 months ago; I have had constant pain, walking, sitting standing ever since; in response to the hysteria about opiates, I've reduced my total consumption from 38 fentanyl and 60 mg oxycodone to only 15 mg oxycodone. (I'm 72 hardly hanging out in a meth house--I'm completely disabled).
Huge reduction considering I have been Able to do anything for 15 months except go to the bathroom and make a pot of coffee due to pain.
Had major 9 hour surgery last Friday; the major goal of the orthopedic neurological nursing team is to reduce my pain medication, instead of pain level.
Wacked.
