If a vet asks you "what do you think I should do?"...

If a vet asks you "what do you think I should do?" as your dog is suffocating to death, the answer is, go to another vet.
At one point, I had to ask the person (Vetrinarian) looking at my dying dog, "This is YOUR job, what do I need to do?"
My dog died, in utter agony, 2 days later.
I had a chi with a collapsed trachea. The vet on duty told me he just needed a bit of oxygen and some meds, and to call her (the veterinarian on duty) "if he gets worse."
When my actual vet saw him the next day, my pup's heart had all but failed. All the while, I watched my beloved boy of 14 years just suffer. My actual vet said he should've been euthanized at Garden State Vet. Instead, I spent $400 there, watched him suffer in hopes he would get better, and then collapse in defeat. It cost a fortune after all was said and done, but the heartbreak of watching him with hope while he died in pain is unforgivable.
This place kept insisting that "If anything ELSE happens, we are here" (to charge you a fortune because, why not another vet bill and perhaps a euthanasia bill).
The vets there are obviously residents. They are going to charge you a fortune for the services of actual veterinarians, but without the experience. They have no idea what they're doing, and may kill (prolong the suffering of) your dog.
