If you want a great 3 Michelin star experience go to eleven Madison park in nyc. If you want an incredible molecular gastronomy experience go to Disfrutar in Barcelona. They blow this place away. The service at Alinea is well below Michelin standard. Also, the staff is not very knowledgeable about what they're doing/serving. We paid $500 per person to sit at the "kitchen table" and Grant refused to take a picture with us after the meal. I've been to Michelin restaurants all over the world and never experienced anything like that. If the food had been exceptional, which it wasn't, I would have overlooked some of this to an extent. It seems like they put more thought into the presentation of the dishes than the actual taste. One of the deserts was good though. Waste of time and money.
