It didn't take me long to realize that I wouldn't have enjoyed this experience nearly as much had I not taken the golf-cart-guided tour. I can see how someone coming here and walking on their own would get confused and not absorb much of the history this site has to offer. Our guide gave us a very organized and in-depth explanation of the history, as well as each stop's significance on our ride/tour. I didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised at the richness of the history, including ancient occupants.
