They have free counseling, which is good because I was diagnosed with moderate depression and given antidepressants my second semester here.

Background: I graduated with honors from a school that takes only the top 1percentile of students. I'm an enthusiastic optimist. This school is unnecessarily difficult, if you plan to go to graduate school (or any profession where GPA is a factor) STEER CLEAR of UTD. I received no scholarships (despite qualifying for maximum aid on FASFA.)
Parents if you are reading this forbid you child from coming here, or they will call you multiple times a week complaining.
Prospective students, if you enjoy your happiness go to ANY OTHER university. This one will thrust you into poverty.
It's only worth it if your an engineer.
