Hotel itself is nice and clean (some hiccups). Valet parking $65. No in and out. Check-in was easy. Mandatory security deposit in the amout of $250 and is added to your room total. My room for one night was over $300. Spent less than 12hrs in room. Checked in 945p. Upon checking in I asked for a late check-out due to arriving so late. The lady offered 1p (check out is at noon). I left for a late dinner reservations and after some thought, I wanted to extend the check-out later because i wanted to get the most out of my stay. when I came back from dinner, I encountered a 2nd person, he extended only another 30 mins, seriously? Finally, I get to the room and log into the wifi and there was a menu regarding your stay, neat. I saw that you could request a late check-out as late as 6p!!! So naturally I selected that option and quickly got a call from front desk. I was told it would be another $50 added to my stay just to check out at 4! I would have to pay for another night anything after 4p. Ouch! When I declined, he offered to push my check out another half hour. So I ended up checking out at 2pm. I had to cut my Navy Pier trip short and did not get to experience the hotel due to not being able to check out late. View was gorgeous. Room had an odor when walked in. As if someone had stayed a long time. Sheets where clean but pillows had old stains on them. Not major big deals. Bathroom over sized. Small toilet sits alone in corner. Tub way too tall. Brusied my knee trying to get in and out of the tub. Moved some items around in fridge to make room for wine but saw note saying not to move anything or you will be charged!!!! 3 stars for the late check out process, the stained pillows and the security fee. 4/5 stars for location, view, honoring certain request (room on high floor).
