Elaf Jeddah Hotel, Red Sea Mall, was previously a good hotel in terms of furniture and location, but the customer service, reception and room service are all flawed. That was on my first visit to him in 2015.
As for my last experience with the hotel, it was in November 2019. In fact, I booked a room for my mother for 10 days and it was a failure by all accounts. Thankfully, I was able to cancel the reservation after the first day and transfer my mother to a more professional hotel, so that my mother would enjoy a generous trip free of inconveniences and discomfort.
The problem lies in:
First: the room was shabby. Room lighting was poor and the bathroom was completely without lighting !!!
Second: The presence of an insect (cockroach) in the bathroom.
Third: After my mother called the reception to change the room, the procrastination took place because there is no room available, according to what they said, and this was not true because I found on more than one website the rooms available for that day.
After the procrastination increased, my mother called the reception and the employee Muhammad answered her and told her if you do not like the situation, get out of the hotel !!!!
Also the hotel manager (non-Saudi) was dry in style and raised his voice to my mother.
In summary, the hotel is a failure and does not know how to respect customers.
As for the employee, Muhammad and the non-Saudi hotel manager, they only represent themselves, but I was hoping that the hotel management would not employ people who were uneducated and lacking tact in dealing with clients.
My rating for the hotel is 1 star, as there is no choice less than that.
But my decision is not to double-book this hotel and not to recommend it to anyone who wants to have a comfortable and beautiful trip

Thankfully, I was able to cancel the booking after the first day and transfer my mother to a more professional hotel to enjoy a decent trip free of harassment and discomfort.
The problem is:
First, the room was rickety. The lighting of the room was improper and the bathroom was completely without light !!!

Thirdly, after my mother called the receptionist to change the room, they stalled because there was no room available, they said, and that was not true because I found in many websites more than one room available for that day.
After the procrastination increased, my mother called the receptionist and the employee responded to her (his name is Mohammed) told her if you don't like the situation, get out of the hotel !!!!
The hotel manager also (non-Saudi) raised his voice to my mother.
In summary, the hotel is a failure and does not know how to respect customers.
As for the employee (Mohammed) and the non-Saudi manager of the hotel, they represent only themselves, but I wish the hotel management not to hire unprofessional people and lack of tact in dealing with customers.
My review of the hotel is one star because there is no less choice.
But my decision is not to repeat the booking at this hotel and not recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a comfortable and beautiful trip
