A few Fridays ago, arrived at a packed Happy Hour!
Festive atmosphere- people singing at the piano bar,
a friendly and competent waitress who took care of
many tables!
As a vegan, I was impressed that this historic bar
would offer veggie burgers and other options. Many of
Denver's newer, more upscale restaurants have few,
if any, vegetarian plates.
If Jack Kerouac could be inspired by this place, surely
today's veggie hippies and yuppies should know about
Charlie Brown's! Unpretentious, diverse, warm.
A week later, took my mother there--had a huge veggie
pizza with no cheese--delicious.
Next time you're on the road, stop here and have a beer!
