It appears that I am one of a number of peoplr who have had similar experiences with Furniture@Work.

I placed an order with the company on 30/05/2020, and received a confirmation that the expected delivery date of one part of my order (office chair) was 05/06/2020, and the other part of the order (desk) was expected on 19/06/2020.

Part 1 arrived in time. However issues arose with part 2.

I received an email from "Customer Services" on 11/06/2020 advising that a revised delivery date was to be "on or around" 02/07/2020.

On 25/06/2020 I received a further email from "Customer Services" stating that the delivery date was revised again, and would now be "on or around" 06/07/2020.

The desk did not arrive on 06/07/2020, so I sent an email to "Customer Services" asking for an ETA. I received no response.

On 07/07/2020 I used the Contact form on the website, but received no response.

On 08/07/2020 I called the phone number on the website at various times during the day, but received no response.

I sent a further email on 09/07/2020, but received no response.

On 10/07/2020 I started the chargeback process with my credit card company, to get the money back for the desk that I jad paid for but not received. I was informed that this process could take up to 45 days.

On 15/07/2020 I received and email from "Customer Services" advising that the delivery date for my desk was now "on or around 27/08/2020" (3 months after purchase date). There was no acknowledgement of my previous emails.

I responded to this email advising that I wanted to cancel the remaining part of my order, and to receive a refund. I would then cancel the Chargeback process tbrough the credit card.
I requested that the company confirm via email that this would be done.

I received no response.

I sent a further email to "Customer Services" on 21/07/2020 requesting a response.

Coincidentally, the chargeback process refunded the money to my credit card late on 21/07/2020.

A response was received from "Customer Services" on 22/07/2020, confirming that they have contacted the warehouse to cancel my order, and advising that my refund will be processed in 10 working days .

I responded to advise that the refund was no longer necessary, as I had already received my money back through the chargeback process.

I have had no further communication from them.

I would not recommend this company. Their "communication" with customers is appalling. If they were to be open and honest about stock issues, then I would have more sympathy, but to be misled and strung along like this is unacceptable.
