My husband and I have lived at the San Cappella community 11 months and from them first weekend we moved in, we have had to deal with drunk boisterous people in the pool area after quiet hours. Melissa, property manager, asked me what our biggest concern was when looking for a place and I told her, quiet and safe. Melissa said the community quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM. Our first weekend we were shocked at a group drinking and playing foul lyrical music in the pool area. Here it is 11 months later and her only answer to the issue is to phone the joke of an on-call security patrol. It usually takes more than one call and up to an hour for someone to show up. Most times we don't call because it is a hassle. This past week alone there have been three occurrences and her answer is to move us or continue to phone the on-call patrol, rather than close the pool area, stating that the demand for it to be open at all hours is too great. By whom, the drunks? Melissa states the perks of the property are to be enjoyed by everyone. I'm not sure about most people, but it's not enjoyable for those of us who are past the party stage and have to go to work at 8:00 AM. We have also been threatened by a couple who was clearly drunk, when we asked them to please respect the quiet hours, the couple were having sex in the pool and I watched the guy get out of the pool and urinate right next to the pool chairs. The can-of-man girlfriend threatened me with fighting. Several times we've gone out in the morning to enjoy our coffee by the pool only to find puke and remnants of the drunk behavior.

I realize you can't ask people to be respectful, but when there is clearly an issue, manage the property with real solutions. The club house is a perk and it is not open 24 hours a day.
