I want to start by saying that this is the first review that I have ever taken the time to do, but I wanted to save some of you the hassle of having an experience like I did. I noticed a water leak in the corner of my ceiling and Mammoth sent a few guys out to do a "temporary" fix before they could get around to a permanent fix. The gentlemen were all very kind (and the only reason I gave 1 star) although they were off the mark on the temporary fix. They told me that my gutter was misaligned and causing water to leak into my ceiling. They spent probably an hour putting up a tarp in hopes that the water would bypass the gutter and prevent leaking into the house. The following day it rained, and my leak was twice as bad as it was prior to the temporary fix. I immediately called back and they sent the same guys back to the house. This time, they decided to go into the attic (where I suggested they look the first time but was told they don't go in attics unless they need to). They saw right away 3 tiny holes from deteriorated roof shingles where water was entering the attic from. Within 10 minutes, they got on the roof, put some sealant in the holes, and were on their way. My ceiling was still wet and discolored, and I was told that someone would call me to schedule repairs to the ceiling and check for mold, etc. I never received a call. Instead, I received a bill for $438. I called to ask about the bill and how they came to $438 for a 20 minute re-visit that required a manual effort of filling a few tiny holes with sealant. The billing lady explained that there were two charges that made up the $438. The first temporary repair visit with the roof tarp (that did not work and made the problem worse) was around $280 and the second temporary repair visit was $158. I disputed the bill and said that I would pay the $158 for the repairs that worked but should not have to pay for the initial visit that not only did not work, but made the issue worse. Weeks went by without a call back that I was promised to have within a few days. I then called back again asking where we were at with the billing situation and was told that the estimator was contacted and would call me back within 3 days. AGAIN, weeks went by without a call, so I decided to email the billing department just to be told that I would need to owe the full amount and that the job to fix the issue the second time was really an $800 job and they cut me a deal on it at $438! If I've done my math correctly for the 20 minute job, apparently their rate for manual labor is $1,314 an hour .....I'm sure there are a lot of other companies out there that care more about their customers. Hope this helps someone out there.
