My husband and I built our house in 2012 and since then have had several issues with our home at the fault of this builder. From faulty stucco work to shotty a/c installation, we are left having to pay thousands and thousands of dollars for repairs on our home - our FIVE YEAR OLD HOME. And we've heard almost every technician or repair professional we've called out comment that they can't believe we are experiencing such problems with such a young home. Well, my husband and I can't believe it either. When I have tried to contact the builder about these issues, they haven't gotten back to me. I now realize that Southern Crafted Homes touts themselves as a superior homebuilder, but the truth is that they cut corners whererver they can during the process and the homeowners are left responsible for paying for the shotty work of SCH. They are no better than Lennar. In fact, Lennar is probably superior at this point. There are plenty of great builders out there, so I would strongly advise steering clear of purchasing a Southern Crafted Home.
