I also don't understand the bad reviews. Having lived on Cates for over 5 years, maintenance has been prompt & courteous on both the minor and major (none really) issues. The basement's washer & dryer have been functional 99% of the time, as have the refrigerator, plumbing, etc. And, for what it's worth, I've watched tenants come & go with no issues whatsoever; they've always been respectful of our shared walls, i.e., no loud stereo nor t.v. Parking has been good enough with the rare occupant in my spot. If I had to be put-on-the-spot for one thing that could use improvement?...maybe the window blinds. I like the small slats but they can be persnickety at times.
