The customer service at the Gateway Hotel is excellent! I stayed as a guest for 5 nights for the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals tournament. My first interaction was with the Front Desk. The clerk was so nice, and funny, and helpful. As I walked through the hotel, I was greeted by a housekeeper who appeared to work the lobby areas. She asked me about my trip, where I was from, how long I was staying, etc. Such a sweet gal. The banquet staff was always very polite and did their jobs with a smile on their faces. The food had its good moments, and its very bad. Breakfast was just ok. Dinner was definitely more of a highlight. The reception food, ie: meatballs, and egg rolls (probably the sauce) was way too spicy and not good at all. Having the food at the hotel for 6 days certainly put my stomach into a tizzy. However, I did have the pleasure of eating lunch in the restaurant. It was a delicious chicken sandwich. From the Wait staff to housekeeping, front desk to banquets, I was overall extremely impressed by the quality of the staff. As a former hotel employee from several well known chain, I was very impressed.
