The hiking rule is ridiculous. You used to be able to hike anytime but know you can only hike if you are an overnight guest, part of the tea, or part of the tour. I understand closing the punch bowls due to the fire but that excuse doesn t work for the rest of the hiking trails on property. Glen Eyrie is turning into a place more concerned with taking people s money than a place concerned with people s salvation. What a waste of an opportunity to share the Gospel with non-believers. Also Glen Eyrie is a historical landmark. It should be more open to people so they can learn the history of Colorado Springs but it s the most closed off area in Colorado Springs. The irony.
