DO NOT ACCEPT ITELL'S report on the value of your flooring. The report I received said the manufacturer of my tile was EmserTile. They said it was ceramic. They valued it at $1.91 per square foot. I took the tile directly to Emser Tile (6314 Airport Frwy in Haltom City, 76117) and asked for verification. They told me that they did not make that tile. They flipped the tile over and showed me the distinguished pattern on the back side and clearly identified it as made from Dal-Tile. They also determined from the color on the back that the tile was porcelain and not ceramic. They showed me comparable value tiles in their showroom which ranged from $5.89 to 8.99 in value.

I took the tile to the Daltile headquarters (3328 Fossil Creek Blvd., Fort Worth, 76137). They verified it was one of their own but no longer manufactured. They showed me other ways to distinguish between ceramic and porcelain tiles such as the absence of striping on the side of the tile, the straight edges, the texture, etc. They told me that comparable values of tile ranged from $5 to $13.

I took the sample to Carpet One in Fort Worth (6700 Camp Bowie Blvd) and to The Tile Shop (6316 Airport Frwy, 76117). Both verified the tile was porcelain and easily identifiable as manufactured by Daltile. Both showed comparable tiles ranging in price from $5.89 to $11.

Many people have suffered because of ITELL's negligence. ITELL needs to be accountable for their errors. The insurance companies who pay for their reports and the public taken advantage of by their false claims need to be aware.
