I am conflicted about this resort. The grounds of this property are spectacular. Well cared for and immaculate. The staff is always attentive and solicitous. The hotel itself needs attention. Some of the umbrellas around the pool needed replacing as did some of the pool towels which were torn. The shower head in our room wasn't working properly because it was so calcified. Stucco was peeling off the exterior wall in one of the walkways. The ice machine didn't work on our floor. The sink in the women's bathroom at the pool had no water pressure to speak of while my husband told me the pressure in the men's room was off the charts.
I'm guessing the pandemic is making it difficult to retain staff. I know summer is off season and it's just us locals but we paid a fair amount to stay. I'd like to see this resort return to the reputation it has acquired.
