Fudan University, a famous university, was not fou...

Fudan University, a famous university, was not founded. It has unique characteristics in the history of modern Chinese education development, witnessing the efforts of the Chinese people to pursue educational dreams. It was founded by the people and was originally associated with the church. In the late Qing Dynasty, the Nanyang Public School (Transportation University) was transformed into a wave of academic circles due to disputes between teachers and students. Teachers and students left. At the right time, the Catholic believer Ma Xiangbo held a hot pillow and founded Aurora College with the support of the French Church of Xujiahui in Shanghai. After the church intervened in the teachings, Ma Xiangbo left with the teachers and students to create Fudan University. During the period from 1913 to 1941, Lee Teng-hui became Fudan School, and he was the longest-serving principal in Fudan history.
To feel or understand the history of Fudan University, you can go to the Yanyuan area of the Fudan University campus. Yan Garden is an elegant garden with a green lawn of goldfish ponds and buildings on the lawn. Before the Yanyuan was purchased by Fudan, the owner used to be the surname Wang and the surname Xie. The name of Yanyuan was from the old Tang Dynasty poet Liu Yuxi's "Old Time Wang Xietang Qianyan". There are centuries clocks and cornerstones in Yanyuan. The foundation stone was in 1920. Fudan University was changed to private Fudan University. President Li Denghui went to Nanyang to donate land to build a school building, and invited American architect Henry Murphy to design the campus. In 1922, the first batch of school buildings was completed. Years have changed, and once the war has been ruined, many buildings have been rebuilt or rebuilt. Passing through the Yan Garden, it is the old school gate of Fudan (reconstructed in 2004). Stepping into the old school gate and embracing the grassy grassland, there are several landmark buildings: Xianghuitang (formerly known as Denghuitang), which was completed in 1947 and commemorates the two principals, Ma Xiangbo and Lee Teng-hui. Zibinyuan, built in 1925, maintains the original appearance, such as the historical freeze. The Fudan School History Museum, the original building is the first batch of school buildings "Yizhutang", which has been expanded and rebuilt. The collection is rich in precious cultural relics. In addition, there is the Fudan Museum on the west side of the grassland, which can be seen. Yanyuan is located in the east of the campus, with the Guanghua Building and the large lawn completed in 2005; there is a statue of Mao Zedong; there are Fudan President Su Buqing and Chen Wangdao. The names of campus roads are mostly related to the name of Fudan Principal and Fudan School.
