Dining on New Year's Eve can sometimes be a disaster, but we were treated like royalty on our recent visit to our favorite restaurant. We were lucky enough to secure two bar stools right away and enjoyed our before-dinner cocktail while visiting with a jocular, tall, bearded bartender while waiting for our reservation time. The hostess called us by name and escorted us to an intimate booth for two in the beautiful dining room. A well-trained assistant waiter delivered a bread and veggie tray and introduced us to our waiter, Jason. Our order was taken after being briefed on the specials of the day by Jason, who was very eloquent and professional in every way. My New York Strip and my wife's scallops were prepared perfectly as were our side dishes. Refills on our beverages were delivered with perfect timing which always has been very important to my dining experience. We were approached by the dining room manager at least three times to insure that we were in need of nothing and enjoying our dining experience. I even mentioned to her that we are world travelers and the service at Joey Gerard's in my opinion was truly world-class. We look forward to our next opportunity to dine in class with the whole staff once again.
