I am writing on behave of my sister who s English is not the best and is by now back in Austria.

I deeply regret having recommended this hotel for my sisters (and her daughter s) overnight stay in Galway last week.

When she returned from her excursion to Galway, he was so glad to be back as she had not slept much in the previous 48 hours.

I don t have 100% of the details but in essence the following is a summary of her experience in your premise:

At the time of check-in they were called lucky, as they had gotten a very quiet room at the end of the hallway. However, as it turned out, there was some sort of party going on and as their room overlooked the exit / parking lot from about midnight onwards, there was no chance to sleep as youngsters where continuing to shout and sing loudly all night long. Around 3 am, there was loud banging on their door for considerable time as a completely drunk person tried to get into their room. Shortly thereafter this was followed by someone else banging on another door down the hallway, again, for prolonged time.

At 6 am my sister finally gave in and got up to walk down to the beach. Crossing the entrance area she witnessed what she would describe as a pile of people, seemingly drunk and still loudly discussing various topics.

When the checked out later that morning, they were asked if everything was OK with their stay. Again, with their limited English they said it was not and tried to make themselves understood about all the disturbance and noise going on all night. At this, the receptionist mentioned that he did recognize her, seeing her leaving at around 6am, which my sister confirmed, that she had gone down to the beach, to which he replied: well, at least you got some quiet there

If this would be a cheap student joint, this is what I kind of would expect or bargain with however, at Euro 170 per night this is absolutely not acceptable. As a hotel, you have to make a choice. From this experience I know which one they have made ...
