On August 4th 2016, I was diagnosed with AML by my local oncologist and also told I had a 25% chance to survive one year. This was unacceptable to me and the research began. My research led to my first choice as Dr. Carlos Bachier at the Sara Cannon Cancer Center which was the best decision of my life. At my first meeting with Dr Bachier we discussed my case and I informed him of my prognosis of a 25% chance to survive one year. He looked me in the eye and said "not if I'm your doctor". I could go on and on about how great Dr.Bachier, his team and the team at Sara Cannon are. But due to lack of writing space, I can not. But the fact is that today is July 15, 2020 I am cancer free! Without any doubt, I owe my life to God - Dr. Carlos Bachier and staff and Sarah Cannon Cancer Center
