These people are scam artists. I was hit by a plow truck company IMT insures. The truck ran a stop sign and hit my car as I was driving in a parking lot. The insured was adamant at the scene that there was no stop sign (it was written on the asphalt) and there is no right of way in a parking lot. The insured told their claims rep they did not stop (because they did not believe there was a stop) and I provided pictures of my car hit from the side in the middle of the street in front of the stop sign their insured drove right through. They still claimed I was partially at fault for driving normal down a road and getting blindsided by their insured admittedly breaking the law. The claims rep didn t respond to phone calls or emails. I waited over two weeks to get a letter that partially blamed me and never heard a word from the company no matter how much I called. It s shameful that this kind of bad business can still be conducted without being punished. Not only will I be filing a complaint with the Dept. of Insurance, but will be taking legal action against IMT for damages relating to their failure to conduct their investigation according to processes defined by the DOI.
