Kew Royal Botanical Gardens is so huge, so diverse...

Kew Royal Botanical Gardens is so huge, so diverse and rich in species it is hard to really describe.

It holds the world s largest collection of living plants. Founded in 1840 from the exotic garden at Kew Park in Richmond upon Thames, its collections include more than 30,000 different species of plants, while the herbarium has over seven million (7,000,000) preserved plant specimens.

It is worth a visit at any time of year, but especially in late May/June.
