Roseville Toyota did a terrible job supporting me ...

Roseville Toyota did a terrible job supporting me and my wife. We called early in the day today to see if they could allow us to test drive a specific and in-demand car. We were assured that they had plenty in stock, and asked us to confirm a specific time that we would come in. We arrived at the agreed upon time and asked for the salesperson that we had made arrangements with - Rubio.
Upon arriving and waiting for 10 minutes Rubio came out, without a mask, to greet us. He then told us to hang tight, and disappeared for ten minutes. He then came back, and passed us off to Barry. After briefly trying to explain to Barry that we knew that the RAV4 Hybrid was in high demand, and that we were specifically interested in test driving any of trim level of that car that they had just to get a sense for how it drove, we marched off onto the lot with Barry to find a specific RAV that would have the trim specifications that we were looking for.
Barry located a hybrid RAV, then proceeded to drive that RAV with us as passengers around the many different nooks and crannies of the Toyota Roseville empire while trying to locate on with the trim levels that we were looking for.
While zooming around Roseville with us in the car, Barry proceeded to argue with us about the other car manufacturers that we were considering, and insisted that Toyota was the best, and that he had seen hundreds of Toyotas that had lasted past 500,000 miles. Unsurprisingly we never found the RAV that we were looking for, so instead of letting my wife and I test drive the one that we were riding in, Barry pulled back up to the main dealership, and asked us to take a seat while he took care of something really quickly. 10 minutes later Barry passed us off to Rebecca, now our third salesperson in the past hour.
Rebecca asked us to hold tight while she figured out where the elusive RAVs had gone to, leaving us to mind our time in Toyota purgatory. After another 15, Danielle came back to ask us our thoughts on purchasing a used car, then when we told her that wasn t our first choice she disappeared for another 10. She then came back to tell us that Marcus might have better luck than the others on finding a car for us to test drive.
While we should have bailed much earlier, after that we had finally had enough. Tyson was nice enough to offer to go look for the car for us, but instead we went to Maita Toyota who were more than happy to have a version of the car for us to test drive.
I ll never shop at Roseville Toyota again. It was a chaotic mess of a place with unprofessional staff who did not seem to value the time or investment of their customers, and several of them were not practicing Covid safety protocols.
