IF what you're looking for is a quiet, get away with a "vegas-like" feel, M Resort may be just the place for you. I struggled with the highly generalized rating categories on this one. Appeal - it's a very nice hotel. Well designed, well decorated (aside of the lack of furniture in the main lobby. Seating for 10, in a lobby the size of a basketball court? Seriously??) If you plan on staying here, thinking that they will accommodate your desire to go hit the Strip, think again. The M Resort does offer a free shuttle service, but it only runs every 4 hours ("but it's free", I was reminded by one particularly rude staff member) - shuttle to the airport is about every 2 hours. It's realistically a 20 minute drive to the Strip, or the airport - by cab it cost around $40-$50.

The facilities were good... when they were open. It felt like there were barriers everywhere we looked. Nothing was ever open. The pool opens very late (10:00am every day we were there) and closed at 6:00 every night. The "adult" pool wasn't even open while we were there. The crowd at the pool seemed like mostly locals that bought a day-pass to the pool. Not sure why, but that bothered us. I hear there are some nice restaurants at M Resort - I wouldn't know, because it seemed that none of them were ever open. I know that's an exaggeration, but it really felt that way when we were hungry and went from restaurant to restaurant searching for food, only to find our choice limited to the beer bar, with school cafeteria style food. Not good. This was just how the whole place felt - empty, nothing open. Like a hotel that will be cool when it finally has it's grand opening.

Service - this was spotty. Most of the staff were very courteous and seemed (almost too) appreciative of our staying there. There were a few stand-outs when it came to poor service, however. I won't name names, but suffice it to say there were several staff members that were just downright rude, and one in particular that made the last day of our visit just that - that last day that we will ever visit the M Resort.

Last, but certainly not least - for the love of all things holy, GET RID OF WHATEVER "FRAGRANCE" IT IS THAT YOU ARE PUMPING INTO THIS PLACE!!! Every time we walked through the doors it was like needles straight to the headache zone in our brains. Whe we were inside the hotel, we would have constant sinus headaches, as soon as we walked outside, it would clear up. It honestly makes me gag just thinking of that smell...

Bottom line - it's a beautiful hotel that I will never again visit.
