This review is in regards of lack of proper care given to a World War 2 veteran. Our father was discharged from Blake Hospital in Bradenton, Florida this evening. After being in that hospital for close to a month for non- related covid diagnosis he became semi- bed bound due to lack of compliance with physician orders x 3. Left in lack of hygiene conditions, health POA was not notified after a fall and change in condition not once but twice without notification as well. Numerous delays in feeding tube surgically placed and NPO after midnight without nutrition or fluids per IV. He has been in that community with his beloved deceased wife for over 35 years. For him and other veterans to be treated in this regard is deplorable. Shame on Blake Hospital. Covid is not the only reason for this discrimination age had a lot to do with narrow mindedness of staff and some physicians. Paula Manion
