Rude staff. So, yesterday, my boyfriend and I needed a few things, and we were debating on whether to go to Hitchcock's or Publix, and finally we decided on Hitchcock's because they were closer. We grabbed a cart and got a few things, not a lot, maybe $40 worth or so. We walked up to the checkouts and the first one we encountered (checkout #1) had only one person, and they were getting ready to pay, so we rolled our cart up. As we're approaching, the cashier leaned out, about a foot over the counter (past the person that was trying to pay), and in a loud voice said "lane 3 is open, lane 4 is open, and lane 5 is open; it's not only me!"... The words were rude, but the tone made it SO much worse. So, we turned around and went to lane 3, where the woman working was really nice. This is on par with the experiences we've had at Hitchcock's in the past. Many of the people are super nice, but occasionally, you'll get one that is down right nasty. A couple trips ago, there was another cashier that was very rude, and I think it may have been the same woman, but can't be sure. Either way, if you want consistently sweet service, go to Publix. We will from now on.
