UPDATE OCTOBER 13TH 2020.... .,., I am beginning ...

UPDATE OCTOBER 13TH 2020.... .,., I am beginning to rethink my original feelings on the aftercare program.
Unfortunately I have had a relapse, am hoping they can and will help me, obviously doing things my way did not work and im ready and willing to do what they suggest this time. ORIGINAL REVIEW STARTS HERE....So the hospital/detox part of this program is pretty amazing. It's what comes after that is a problem. So you are heavily sedated for the time you are in the hospital. I I truly dont believe that 3 days is long enough for addicts. I begged for them to keep me longer but they would not. I dont think 3 days is long enough for serious addicts with high risk of relapse. So when you get home and all the stuff they give you wears off, you feel awful! Then you go to the place across the street to start vivytrol but.they force you to do 3 days a week multiple hours a day of counseling just to get your meds. If I had cancer would I have to do counseling to get treatment? I got a full time plus job shortly after my hospital stay which made it impossible to put in the time and homework they require
Anyway I got lucky in that my regular doctor was willing to give me the vivytrol in his office without all the garbage this program requires. I am happy to report I am still clean and dont even get the vivytrol any longer.
