Lots of floors of interactive fun hands on activities for young and old. Great views of Edinburgh, especially the castle. Not particularly cheap and no family ticket but you could go in and out all day if you wanted. You get booked into the camera obscura at the top where they do some fun things while showing you Edinburgh projected onto a wooden circular table. Great day out for the family. Been a couple of times now, once when my daughter was about 5 and this year just before her 15th.
