This is only based on my own personal experience.
I have applied FP&A position with Clarins Group; the position itself was Permanent / Full time; and I am pretty sure during the phone screening the HR has mentioned that was full time position rather than contracting; (as we all know the salary would be a lot higher than perm if it comes to contract); after 2 rounds interviews they decided to offer me the position and asked me to provide the references which I did; then I had a call with HR just to confirm some of the conditions & they told me that "I hope you are aware of this is 12-month contract position"; I was shocked and speechless for a second; then I decided to keep calm. It was very disappointed and unprofessional situation, they kept in a last minute to tell me right before I was going to accept the offer and decline all other jobs offers, which is not nice and unacceptable . After all, I sent an email to them that I was going to decline the position due to this un-honest statement; and they did not even reply an email to apology. Personally, I learnt so much from this; I believe the fundamental of respect and honesty are very important!!!
