Do not buy BMC bikes!!! In my view they offer the worst value for money ever (and I have enough bikes to compare with). The quality of the painting on their top Alpinechallenge 01 bike for 2,5 thousand franks is comparable to the cheapest no-name bikes: it could not sustain normal city use for even a day, the paint was severely damaged in several places down to the aluminium frame (yes, including the base layer of paint) after I left the bike for few hours under the sun in the city. And it becomes worse every day. After few months of sending claims to BMC and the seller, BMC replied that I should be more careful and avoid any impact on the paint...:))

Not to mention the strange choice of components, for example, the pedals they use for citi bike are the cheapest possible and will damage your office shoes by sharp metal parts. Their so called easy removable fenders in fact can t be separated without first being severely scratched.

And after 200 km the bike starts making noises that my Kona doesn t after 8 years of tough usage (by the way, Kona has no single issue with paint alike BMC got in an hours).

And yes, I forgot to mention their famous BMC customer service (meaning it compete absence).

They are not willing to deal with quality issues. They prefer to accuse customer of being reckless.

In my opinion BMC should ether stop doing citi bikes or to make it appropriate for the intended purpose.

For me their Alpinchallenge is one big misrepresentation.
